in response to Nickels...Im in the same position... my husband left, its just me and my daughter and i make to much for any assistance but not enough to pay my bills. I dont have anything crazy no cable or anything. There has to be some type of help out there.
I wish I could help - Same thing - Middle Class hard working family - a decrease in my regular pay (but secure job) has caused us to be over our heads. We make too much for any financial assistance but too little to maintain our mortgage and home.
I feel your pain! I too am sitting in the same kind of situation. I am older, rent, but am a hard worker also. Just got over extended, and can not figure out a way, to catch up. Hang in there maybe we will both, find an angel for Christmas.
It is not 3 years since you made this initial post. Assuming you somehow still get comments to your post --- can you fill us in. How have you been doing these past 3 years? Where you able to get your "head above water?" Are there some things you can share with us that worked well for you?
God Bless You and Your Famiy! Every thing will work out! Believe me. I am a mother of 9. 5boys & 4girls. I lost my very good job because the realestate companywent out of business. The bills piled up and my gas was shut off. but I'm doing what I an to get by. I write poems and sale them and I am also a Personal consultant. I give advice on and about any thing I know. So I started a Home business doing just that. It has not taken off just yet but I will keep the faith. Again God bless you all!
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR WIFE I BELIEVE THINGS WILL GET BETTER MY BROTHER IS IN A SITUATION AND NEED THE WORD 2 BE PUT OUT FOR HELP 4 THE BOTH OF U I HOPE WE CAN WORK TOGETHER!!!!!!!
Well all i can say is good luck to that. I have been looking for the same thing. No one, not even the government is givning hand outs anymore. My suggestion, do what I had to and get a job. I was on wealfare for disability and could not survive off that with two children. If my a chance you do find someone to help, tell me cause I sure could use it too.
I am a Vietnam Veteran. 100% service connected disable and receive disability from VA and SSi. A few years ago adobted a young Vietnamese girl who I brought over here in 2004. In a few words I have developed a large credit card debt and just cannot make it. I have searched the internet for days and cannot find any help. This is a long shot but can be contacted at ronlee46@bellsouth.net.
Here I am my hands are shivering...I cannot believe how hard it is to post here. I am a mother of a beautiful 3 yr old girl. Recently I had to go to the hospital because of terrible stomach pains, after much testing including loads of bloodwork and a catscan of my stomach and pelvis they found a large cyst on my kidney. Due to the fact that I do not have insurance I cannot go for followup care or even purchase the medication prescribed to me to ease the pain. The total of all my medical bills is $5,300. More than I could ever imagine the testing in itself would cost. I am behind on utility bills and the winter is coming...the cost of gas heat is tremendous (almost $200 every other month!). I am terrified that even with how hard I work and with the pain I have...it will not be enough. When I think of my little girl suffering because I cannot provide for her how I need to, it almost kills me. I do not use credit cards, I never have and never will...I pay for what I can with what I make. I do not know what to do. I look to the skies and ask for help and I worry that perhaps my cries of help have fallen on deaf ears because every day I live with bills on top of bills. I know there are probobly other people here who need money more so than I do, and please help them...but should you find it in your heart to help me then god bless you! All I can do is be grateful for what I do have and hope for the best. If one day, things look better...I want to give to those of you who really need it. I know what it feels like, and no one should live this way. Even if you cannot give, words of encouragement are appreciated.
We are a family of 4 that have had a series of mishaps that have landed us in over our heads. Last summer I missed several months of work due to some complications with the birth of my daughter. We decided to rent out our home and move into a smaller home. We found a very reputable couple who put up 2 months deposit and a security deposit (over$3000). Haveing this and a sound rental agreement in hand we purchased a mobile home to live in until we could get back on our feet. The couple renting our home have disappeared and we are stuck with 2 house payments, on top of monthly living expenses. We do not live extravagantly. We both drive used vehicles and I shop consignment shops for the familys clothing. We have looked into bankruptcy, but have been told that we fall into that small group of people that make to much to file chapter 7 and chapter 11 would not reduce our monthly payments. We are hard workers and are really trying. Anything you could do to help with this debt that is slowly eating away our family would be greatly appreicated.

My name is Jeffery and my wifes name is vivian. We have a 7 year old son that just started 2nd grade yesterday.
My wife and I have been married for 2 years and we have had struggles paying bills do to job lay offs and cut backs. Right now we have a debt of about $10,000 dollars and we need help! We are currently renting an apartment in florida in an assisted living community where there is not much assistance. We've look to buy our first home but due to credit issues every one we've gone to for help has turned us down. We are also in need of transportation and do to credit issues we can not even purchase a car.
All of this is very over whelming but our faith in God has allowed us to survive this far. So if there is someone reading this, more than a little help will be awsome, whether through prayer or monetary substance our family will be abundantly appreciative.

I am seeking 10 pledgemates .. and $2900.00
My husband is a Operation Iraqi Freedom Vet. He was discharged because of his legs. He has had no luck finding a good job and we are getting behind on bills.
I've tried to look for training for vets and financial help, but have been unable to find anything that helps

Hello my name is Eddie, I'm intrested in one day starting my own buisness and finally living a life without worrying about how I'm going to pay this rent every month or this credit card bill at the end of the month.I'm smart enough to do something really big, but just haven't found the right advice on how to just start it and do it to get the ball rolling without the run around info that usually gets you mixed up and then eventually you lose intrest in what it was just to start over. If any one knows the correct way to go about this or has some good advice please let me here from you.
I am currently not working and cannot collect unemployment. I am the sole breadwinner in my mothers houshold and am backed up on bills, so of course utilities will begin being shut off. The next problem is my mothers house not only needs work to place it back into a decent living condition. Also, my father has actually stopped payments on the mortgage that he promised to pay for her, hoping that she will sell which would leave her with nothing. I really want to be of some aid to my mother before we end up losing everything, I want her to be able to rest and not worry about anything in her life for at least once, I want her to eventually be able to have her own income coming in eventually. If I am able to fix up this house she will be able to rent it at and recieve her own income and stability.
I am a single mom of 6beautiful children. They are my life. I am in need of help for them. I must leave where I am staying now, but I don't have any money. I am going to school to finish my degree so that I can get a better job. All I need is a place that my children and I can call our own, without having to depend on someone else. A small place that they would know was their's no matter what so they would not have to worry about living on the streets. They are wonderful children and deserve the best. If you can help in any way that would be greatly appreciated.

1) Visit this website! The woman who started it, Mary Hunt, was over $100,000 in debt and paid it all off. Her story is inspirational and the tools on her website are very useful:
http://www.cheapskate monthly.com/
2) Focus on your blessings. Make an effort to be especially grateful for anything you have every day as often as possible. When you focus on the negatives and your debt, you draw that to you. When focus on your abundance, you draw that to you. You are like a magnet. Instead of dreading the bills, celebrate abundance of any form that comes into your lift. You will turn your mental attitude around and then your life will turn around too.
Been there and done it!
I am 41 yo single female. I live paycheck to paycheck and am drowning in debt. Over the last 3 years I have been plagued with numerous Medical Bills. Those along with @9K student loans and another $12K in credit card bills make it very difficult to ever catch up yet get ahead. I work full-time and I am a good person. As soon as possible I will give back. I do believe in living by the Golden Rule.

I have just started a new job. I'm not looking for a hand out, just a little help to get back on my feet and I will pay every last cent back MY WORD.
